Most of us photographers are not really going to the "depth" of this art. The real depth exists under the vast oceans. And some dare to do it.
Ocean is a wonderful place. Just as the shore looks amazing in the morning so does the ocean’s surface at evening when the sunset hits it. But the real drama of the ocean is under the water. There are few photographer out of millions who really take the challenge and opportunity to dive and show us what really exist on the ocean bed.
Underwater photography is a challenging area. It require special equipments and accessories to begin with such as waterproof cameras or water sealed casings.. Furthermore underwater photography become a challenge because the real color and contrast are not accurately visible the more deeper you dive. To overcome this certain strobes, flash lights and lenses are used.
No matter how good you are equipped with all the above, the critical skill which you require other than photographing is the skill to be survive underwater!
Even though we may never get to do this it’s a sheer joy even to look at few of these wonderful underwater photographs.
Heard that Sony is going to release an underwater casing for Some of their dSLRS කියලා. If so I wil buy them or buy a P&S or Compact camera that has underwater casing ( I don't like most of waterproof cameras). Let's see!!!
ReplyDeleteWell casing for compact cameras are quite cheap comparing to the SLR ones. SLR ones are expensive just as lenses :(
